Windle International Somalia (WISOM) is seeking qualified contractors to rehabilitate the Roox Borehole and construct associated water infrastructure, including a solar-powered water pumping system.
This initiative is part of the ACTIVE Project, aimed at enhancing economic resilience in Somalia through renewable energy solutions in agriculture and other sectors.
The project focuses on sustainable development by improving access to reliable water services, thereby supporting local livelihoods and reducing reliance on conventional energy sources.
The rehabilitation of the Roox Borehole will enhance water availability for livestock and community needs, while the installation of renewable energy technology will lower operational costs and promote environmental sustainability.
This intervention is expected to significantly improve water access, support livestock production, and contribute to the long-term socio-economic development of the region, particularly benefiting pastoral and agro-pastoral communities.
Interested contractors must submit their bids via email by June 29, 2026.
