Windle International Somalia is inviting qualified contractors to submit bids for the rehabilitation of the Roox Borehole water supply system in Puntland.
This project is part of the Advancing Circular Technologies for Infrastructure and Value-chain Enhancement (ACTIVE) Project, which aims to strengthen Somalia's economic resilience by integrating renewable energy solutions across various sectors.
The rehabilitation will include the installation of a solar-powered pumping system, construction of water storage facilities, and enhancement of the water distribution network to improve access to safe water for livestock and community needs.
The initiative seeks to address systemic constraints related to energy access and high operational costs, thereby enhancing productivity for smallholder farmers and pastoralists.
By promoting circular economy principles and ensuring gender-responsive approaches, the project aims to create sustainable economic growth and improve livelihoods in the target area.
Interested contractors are encouraged to review the attached specifications and submit their bids by the deadline of June 29, 2026.
