The Central Bank of Somalia (CBS) is seeking proposals from licensed insurance companies to provide comprehensive medical insurance services for its staff and eligible dependents for the period of 2026 to 2028.
The selected insurer will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical coverage, which includes outpatient and inpatient services, emergency care, maternity services, and prescribed medications.
The insurance scheme aims to promote staff well-being and provide financial protection against health-related expenses for employees and their families.
The medical insurance program will cover each employee and up to six dependents, ensuring broad healthcare access across all Federal Member States, including Somaliland.
Key requirements for bidders include a minimum of four years of experience in medical insurance operations in Somalia, a comprehensive network of accredited medical facilities, and the ability to provide services in major cities.
Proposals must be submitted by February 19, 2026, with detailed documentation as specified in the request for proposals.
