Expression of Interest (EOI) Document for Pre-Qualification of Contractors

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting expressions of interest (EOI) from qualified contractors for the pre-qualification process to provide construction and rehabilitation services for boreholes and associated water sources in Somalia.

This initiative aims to address the critical water scarcity crisis exacerbated by ongoing drought conditions, impacting both domestic and livestock water availability.

Contractors are sought who can demonstrate the necessary capacity, experience, and resources to undertake this work effectively within the region's security constraints.

The

scope of work includes the construction and rehabilitation of boreholes, installation of submersible pumps and solar power systems, maintenance of existing water supply systems, and provision of water trucking services where necessary.

Interested contractors must submit comprehensive information, including company profiles, relevant experience, technical and financial capacity, and security compliance.

The evaluation will focus on the contractor's past performance, technical capabilities, and financial stability, ensuring that only pre-qualified contractors will be invited to participate in the subsequent tender process.
