Request for Bids for Construction of Warsheikh Fish Market

The Federal Government of Somalia is seeking bids for the construction of the Warsheikh fish market, a key initiative under the Somali Sustainable Fisheries Development project funded by the World Bank.

This project aims to bolster the fisheries sector in Somalia and includes a comprehensive

scope of work that encompasses site preparation, structural construction, and utility installations.

The construction is expected to take twelve months, followed by a six-month defect liability period, ensuring the facility meets the necessary standards and requirements.

Eligible bidders are invited to participate in this one-envelope bidding process, with proposals due by May 14, 2026.

The project emphasizes the importance of environmental, social, health, and safety management throughout the construction phase.
