The Jowhar District Council is seeking bids for the installation of solar streetlights in Jowhar, Hirshabelle State, Somalia, as part of the Dowlad Kaab Program.
This initiative aims to improve security and safety in the area through enhanced solar lighting.
Qualified companies are invited to submit sealed bids, which must include a non-refundable fee for the bidding documents and comply with the guidelines outlined in the Invitation to Bid (ITB).
The deadline for bid submissions is set for 12:00 PM on June 24, 2026, with an immediate opening following the deadline.
The project scope encompasses the provision of labor, materials, equipment, transportation, quality control testing, site safety measures, and environmental protection activities.
Contractors are required to execute all works in accordance with approved drawings, Bill of Quantities (BoQ), technical specifications, and the supervising engineer's instructions to ensure a durable and safe installation.
Bidding documents are available at the Procurement Office in Jowhar for a fee of USD 20 per set, and bidders must attach a copy of the receipt to their submissions.
