Expression of Interest for Sourcing a Private Service Provider for Premium Subsidy Implementation for Index-Based Livestock Insurance and Digital Platform Development in Puntland

World Vision International is seeking expressions of interest from qualified insurance companies to implement a premium subsidy program and develop a digital platform for index-based livestock insurance in Puntland.

This initiative aims to enhance the resilience of pastoral households by improving access to insurance services and promoting financial inclusion.

The project will enroll 1,500 households and deliver premium subsidies to support the adoption of livestock insurance, which is essential for safeguarding livelihoods against climate-related shocks.

The project focuses on creating a user-friendly digital platform for efficient enrollment and policy management, enabling digital premium payments and claims processing, and improving accessibility of insurance services in remote areas.

By addressing the challenges of low adoption rates due to limited awareness and affordability, this initiative seeks to strengthen financial inclusion and support sustainable livelihoods among pastoral communities in Puntland.
