The Somalia Productive, Resilient, and Inclusive Growth (SPRING) project aims to promote private sector-led growth and job creation by enhancing the business-enabling environment, strengthening the financial system, and improving access to finance.
The project is structured around four key components that leverage Performance-based Conditions (PBCs) to incentivize necessary reforms and achieve tangible results.
With a focus on digital transformation and governance, the initiative seeks to create a more conducive environment for private sector development in Somalia.
The project is currently active and is supported by a total financing commitment of US$ 105 million, with significant contributions from the IDA Grant and the Somalia Multi-Partner Fund.
The implementation is overseen by the Ministry of Finance, and the project is expected to close by June 30, 2030.
This initiative represents a critical step towards fostering economic resilience and inclusivity in the region.
