The SADAR Development and Resilient Institute is seeking consultancy services to assess the resiliency and agro-ecological performance of target landscapes as part of the Adaptive Agriculture and Rangeland Rehabilitation (A2R2) Project.
This initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity and climate resilience in Somalia's arid and semi-arid regions, directly benefiting approximately 72,000 households through interventions such as water harvesting and rangeland restoration.
The project is implemented in collaboration with international partners and focuses on strengthening institutional systems and community livelihoods through an integrated approach that includes policy reform and natural resource management.
The consultancy will involve a comprehensive assessment of ecological, social, and livelihood dimensions of the target landscapes.
Specific objectives include evaluating soil health, water resource management, and biodiversity, as well as identifying indigenous knowledge systems and analyzing drivers of land degradation.
The ultimate goal is to develop actionable recommendations that enhance resilience, productivity, and sustainability in the affected regions.
